At 9:27am on June 8, 2009, UKPete said…: No Hawkwind were crap the biggest disappointment of any band I have ever been to see. Thing is I bigged them up to my sons whom I also took. I assumed the band were pissed, the saxophanist definately was and screaching terribly.
I guess if you were off your face on drink or drugs it wouldn't have mattered but I didn't even recognise "born to be wild".
It is a sad thing when your teenage heroes turn into Zeroes, but I guess thats what a life or drugs does for you as a musician.
Glad I am on the ball and firin on all cylinders.
I am off to fencing tonight but can call you later
