ABOUT ME

I'm a homemaker, mom, grandma, wife, friend, lover, entrepreneur, fitness counselor, artist and designer who’s into holistic health, essential oils, reflexology, Yoga therapy, hoop, knit, crochet, spinning, hiking and biking, SUNSHINE and a student of the fly art. I am doing some more Yoga training (Yoga Therapy - level 1 and 2) and dreaming/planning my Yoga BIZ.

Some of the coolest things I’ve done are; mom of 4, grandma of 12, a couple years in Europe, Home births, lived in bus with my 4 kids, camped at the Bodhi Mandala Zen Center, LMP (massage therapist), AAS in Graphic Design.

After being health challenged for over 10 years (Fibro & Lyme Disease), I'm now grateful for my journey and the opportunity to share my experience, strength and hope with others.

hi yes I'm aiming towards a canal boat so I can be closer to nature all year . I have spent a couple of mths camping most yrs till last couple as big tho mostly good changes disrupted my patterns, so we got a simple pop up tent and hid it in an area of abandoned farmland taken over by treelets nearby where we have been going for picnic tea most evenings as I tend to rise late due to CFS. Now we can either stay out later and hear the owls and watch the moon rise or snug into our sleeping bags. we've not sorted mattress yet so its a bit hard on the ol bones but that is one of the strange things, that I start off in more discomfort then get up and loose myself getting as close to a landed butterfly as I can or seeing all the different birds. There are swallows and swifts and martins that flock together over the nearby pond we call a lake and feild of 6 - 9ft mostly birch and willow and ash and oak so the undergrowth is dense enough to hide the green tent until you're close. I love finding the right spot to hide away and being innovative hanging my clothes to dry in the trees. We don't light fires or leave litter and we always seem to be discovered the day we are leaving dispite being there 4 mths and it's usually really amusing and good natured (as I havn't gone way out into the wilds 4 a while).
The creature experiences can get a bit in tentz like finding a mini mammal had made it's nest under the tent whilst we were away and I'm not sure who was the most surprized as it was right under my pillow and every time I settled down I could feel some scrabling going on. One day I was sitting in our green living room nearby and I heard something comming thro the undergrowth I thought it was a child or Bill and it got closer and closer I
expected to see it any moment but it passed so close yet unseen I think it was a deer, no cougers or sasquach here. Tho I used to stay alone in the other place, a cul de sac a top a high steep rocky hill in a forest park, using a camaflage tarp and covering it with bracken it was like a hide where the birds would come across in front on the path or even into the porch.
Bill would go of for a couple of nights to his work and I'd talk myself down from the fear that's natural in the dark all alone, a good excersise. Then Bill was really mischeivious and tald me a tale about a big cat that had been seen in the area the sort that end with and all they found was the bunnies ears and strange scratches on the back door. I beleived him then found out he'd been kidding me . When we returned on the news there was a report of sightings within 20 miles not far for a big cat.
A water vole looked at me with his big eyes before swimming out from the bank where he had his hole and tiny bats flew low scimming the water as we sat in the gloaming beside the lake, the simple joys can be so fulfilling.
From the therapy angle I used to stop the pain controllers the previous camping times, without the aid of plankton, to give my body a rest, it was easier with it tho.
You may find you need to avoid the vibration and electromagnetic feilds of the engine and van to get the most benifit so find good spots to stay for a while rather than travel daily and you may find actually sleeping and living outside it gives you the most benifit .
Have a wonderful journey into your new phase in life
I hope we'll get to visit the red squirrels and a baby beaver on a nature researve nearby before the weather dips

hi yes it's been a couple of decades of appreciating what I can still do, like as I have to sit for long periods I watch and photo wildlife when able. The pain control is subtle and variable tho a good sign and the gradual reduction of painkillers(not the most positive of words) I find easiest when semi wild camping .( I just found this again sorry if repeating ) it's going to help with other treatments because I needed to reduce them first so it's all in the right direction love Teri xxx
